1. Pre-production

Every video production is different. We start our process with a free consultation to discover the client's vision and budget. Our video production company considers which type of video format will deliver for the target audience. We consider everything from custom documentaries to traditional 30 second commercials. During this fact-finding conversation, our producers learn about the brand and its unique selling proposition. We do not have salespeople at these meetings. We believe that video producers are the best professionals to engage about concepts and delivering high quality videos. This first meeting is a complimentary session where we might offer a few free suggestions. Our video producers would be compensated for any additional meetings, whether it's part of production or a standalone consulting session.

2. Cost Estimate and Bid Review Tips for Video Production

After an initial consultation, producers will send cost estimates to the potential client for review. Oftentimes, two cost estimates are provided. The higher estimate obviously has more production elements and/or deliverables. However, these would not be the only two options. This is an opportunity for the client to add production elements or trim back on their initial expectations. The cost estimates provide a good foundation to build upon. Any revised cost estimates would reflect the same rates and formulas. It's all relative.

Once the client agrees to a cost and deliverables, producers send a service agreement for signature. Paired with the cost estimate, this service agreement outlines a full scope of work. A 50% deposit is due before videography begins. The latter 50% is paid once the first video edit is submitted to the client for their approval.

3. Videography Begins

Normally within two weeks of signing a contract, video production begins on a project. All videography includes professional lighting and sound. Oftentimes, our crew starts the videography process by gathering interviews. Interview commentaries often set the table for which b-roll action footage we would need to gather to help tell the story. Any scripted or story-boarded materials would also be gathered during this videography phase.

4. How Video Editing Shapes Small Business Content Marketing

The lights, camera and action of the recording session normally get the most publicity. But did you know that at least 4 or 5 times the amount of time goes into the video edit? This is the step where the magic is really made. We deliver a video edit for review within 2 weeks of when the last piece of footage was gathered.

5. Client Review and Approval Process for Custom Video Production

One free round of revisions are always included in every production by All Business Videography LLC. Therefore, we ask that clients gather all the input from their team and deliver the revision request in one note. Future requests would be subject to the hourly video editing rate. We also ask that clients return the courtesy of providing edits within 2 weeks. If it takes clients longer than one month to submit revision requests, future edits would also be subject hourly rates.

6. Video Production Delivery

After we have successfully created an awesome video, it's time to deliver. Video files are typically delivered through Dropbox or an equivalent cloud sharing option. Our producers sometimes help upload videos to YouTube and/or social media platforms. However, that work would be performed as an additional service. Our producers and video editors are available to touch-up or update video files at a later date. We are also available to help answer any questions about best practices for sharing video online.
