This may include:

In a manufacturing environment, for example, there may be six or seven teams that make up a 50-person workforce — field crews, maintenance, sheet metal, supervisors, safety staff, office personnel, and leadership.

This step asks you to think through:

  • Will all teams be interviewed?

  • Should interviews happen in the field or in a controlled office environment?

  • Who best represents each role or department?

And most importantly: within those teams, who are the “rock stars” who will make for colorful personalities in the video.

This is a video series, so there’s no shame in putting forth the most dynamic personalities.

Step 3: List Your Best “Photo Ops” and Natural Moments

Finally, we ask clients to think beyond interviews and identify upcoming visual opportunities — what we often call “photo ops.”

By photo ops, we mean any naturally occurring moments where your team is already gathered, well prepared, and working in a controlled environment.

Great examples include:

  • Company trade shows or industry events

  • Training sessions and safety exercises

  • Orientation days or onboarding classes

  • Leadership meetings or team workshops

  • Facility tours or equipment demonstrations

These moments are ideal because staff is normally well dressed, operating on a planned agenda, and working in predictable conditions. That allows our videography team to capture high-quality visuals that feel authentic while staying efficient and unobtrusive.
